At Suffolk Cement Products Inc
we receive numerous questions about cement and asphalt, and our services. Below you'll find some of our most frequently asked questions and their answers.
OUR DRIVEWAY HAS CRACKS AND A FEW HOLES IN IT. CAN YOU HELP US? Certainly. When your driveway begins to develop cracks and potholes, it could mean that the ground has been shifting due to tree root growth, or simply be caused by the weather. We can fill your potholes and fill cracks, but if the damage is greater, we can remove the current cement, smooth and grade the underlay, and replace your driveway with longer-lasting cement or asphalt that should age well with good maintenance.
OUR PARKING LOT NEEDS NEW WHEEL STOPS AND PARKING SPOT LINES. CAN YOU HELP US? Yes – we do both of those. We have a variety of parking lot wheel stops to choose from, as well as parking bumpers to protect certain areas of your parking lot, like the cart return spaces. We can spray new parking spot lines, as well as emergency vehicle lines and handicap spot painting. I'VE JUST BUILT A NEW RETAIL BUILDING, AND NEED A PARKING LOT DESIGNED AND POURED. DO YOU HANDLE DESIGN? We can certainly assist you in designing a parking lot that will work best for your storefront, and your customers. Easy access is important for customers, as well as traffic management and parking accessibility. Another thing to consider is customer safety and we can work with you to create a lighting plan that will fit your needs. We have seen enough parking lots to help you devise the correct layout for your property. We can then lay the asphalt, spray the parking lines, and place wheel stops if necessary. I'M WORKING ON THE DESIGN OF A NEW HOUSE, AND I NEED A SLAB CONTRACTOR TO POUR THE HOME'S FOUNDATION WHEN WE GET STARTED. DO YOU DO THOSE? We can certainly contract with you to lay a slab for your new build. We stay up to date with local housing codes, and can make sure that the slab is laid to specs. If there are other issues with the soil or underlay for the house, we can work with you to find reasonable approaches to correcting the problems, whether with piers, or other methods.
